Lovely slow start to the new year, don't you think. Been awhile since we had a three-day run on snow days. Snow days are still one of the best perqs to living and working in Flagstaff, in my humble opinion.
I'm in the office for a bit today for two reasons: A) to get my new laptop; and B) because I can't really walk (much less ski). Skied a lot the past couple days, perhaps one run too many, and, well, lactic acid's killin' me.
A little more snow Saturday night. And again next Thursday-Friday maybe? Might could be. A good time to review the following procedures...
Snow Delay Stuff
When we have a snow delay we have devised an RTI late-start schedule to follow that should give many of you more time with your kids on these shortened days. It's pretty simple:
- no Tier 3
- no Tier 2 for grades 2-5
- no changes for K-1
- FACTS will open at 7:30 AM
- Co-op will open at 9:00 AM
- breakfast will not be served
- lunches will occur at regular times
- the front doors will open at 10:00
- AM playground duty will begin at 10:20
- the first bell will ring at 10:35
- the tardy bell will ring at 10:40
- 9:10-11:15 special classes will not take place
- attendance and lunch counts should be submitted no later than 11:00
