One more quite quiet week ahead before we conclude the post-holiday doldrums and dive head-long into the hectic tumult that is the beginning of the-end-of-the-year.
Testing with iPads
Now that we've gotten fully in the swing of using our iPad carts for both Galileo and end-of-year standardized testing, it becomes ever more important that we make every attempt to be considerate by always making sure that we return the cart we used to its proper spot just as soon as we're done with it.
Good to plug it back in, too, so it's ready for the next user. Thanks!
EPA Grant
Marshall is being considered for the EPA EE (Educational Priority Addressed - Environmental Ed.) Grant. Protecting Water is the priority addressed. The proposal is to create a professional development program that focuses on increasing water efficiency at school sites both in indoor uses and through the development and maintenance of water efficient landscapes. Marshall would receive over $4,500 for literacy and math manipulative and supplies and each participating teacher will receive a $1,000 stipend ($20/hr). However, we MUST have two teachers from grades 2-5 to be considered. If you are interested and want more information, please contact Janelle Reasor asap!
