I don't know what else to say except, "Good grief, this wind."
Made for a chilly-Thursday morning, that's for sure.
Sorry to keep the kids indoors (I probably hate it almost as much as you do), but I thought it was best to do so given the single-digit wind-chill. Not quite the frostbite range, but painfully uncomfortable nevertheless. Glad we were able to get some of our upper grades out as the day warmed up and the winds (unexpectedly) died-down.
AZMERIT Updates
Lots of new information coming down the pipe regarding the new AZMERIT test. Here's what we know today:
- We will be giving the test in grades 3-5 this year
- Our testing-window at Marshall will be 13 April-01 May (make-ups 04-06 May)
- You will meet in CTs together with Hanno and Grant to establish your grade-level's test schedule
- We will use the Computer Lab computers and iPads to take the tests
- keyboards, headphones, and stands will be available
- ELA Writing (grades 3-5) will take one session (about 90 minutes)
- ELA Reading (grades 3-5) will take two sessions (about 90 minutes each)
- Math (grades 3-5) will take two sessions (about 90 minutes each)
- Science (4th only) will take one session (of unknown duration)

Not that Richard hasn't done a fine job, he has, but at the end of the day, he's still a sub; he's told us repeatedly he's not interested in applying for the job. It sure would be nice to fill this position with someone permanent. If ya know anybody who might enjoy working with us for a few hours each day, please pass our information along to them.
