Mystery Letter
I believe we have established the origins of (and the likely intent behind) our mystery letter. Thanks to those of you who provided me with much-needed insights.
As To Our Schedule
Next week we're on half-days for conferences on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday through Friday we're on holiday. That's about it. Have a great Thanksgiving.
Conference Stuff
Thanks, once again, for talking with parents during your conferences about Tax Credit contributions. I want to assure you, if you're concerned about how you and your class have benefitted from (and will continue to benefit from) each and every dollar of Tax Credit we receive, please know: you do! All of us do! I will be visiting with each of you in the next few days to review with you precisely how your class benefits from this essential program. But in the meantime, you may want to review some of the fine programs and materials we have here, which your students are able to participate in because of the Tax Credit money we receive:

If you're aware that one of your students is regularly dropped off early, well before school begins, and they're not enrolled in FACTS, please feel free to discourage parents from doing this during your conference time with them (I will be doing the same soon). We've got several families who are taking advantage of our open-door policy in the morning. FACTS starts at 6:00. Mr. Coe's Sitting-Service doesn't begin until 7:00. One's very affordable. The other's getting a little tired of it...
