All-school BBQ
Remember: On Monday during the school BBQ we'll run our lunches on basically the same slightly accommodated schedule we've used the past couple years, giving everyone a little more time to be served and eat. Note: bells will ring at the usual times:

Year-end Check-out Check-list
Teachers, the year-end check-out check-list can be downloaded at any time. Also, don't forget:
- Dismissal will happen at 12:25 on Thursday 01 June
- Send report cards home on Thursday 01 June
- Come to work around 8:30 on Friday 02 June
- Complete cum folders for each student in your class
- Complete each component of your Year-End Check-Out form
- Sign-up in the office to have someone check-you-out on Friday 02 June
- Register to attend the "Grading from the Inside Out" 301 Day on Monday 07 August
- Plan to meet together as a faculty from 10:00-12:00 on Tuesday 08 August
- Prepare for day-one of 2017-2018 on Thursday 10 August
Report Cards
Thursday, May 18th:
This is a half day for all teachers to work on report cards. It may be a good time to enter grades, work on behaviors, and comments.
Teachers can transfer grades at anytime. Remember it is easiest to only transfer once to avoid your grades being overridden in the Report Card portion of the system.
Friday, May 26
Special area teachers, please have your grades entered by 12:00 noon.
School secretaries will need to do the initial attendance rollover at 12:00 noon as well.
Classroom teachers should not print report cards until an announcement is made that both of the previous steps have been completed.
If teachers choose to print report cards prior to June 1st, please add this message in the comments box on the standards report...
"Student attendance is accurate as of May 26, 2017. Actual days membership through June 1, 2017, will be entered in students' permanent files."
Thursday, June 1: Last Day of School
Standards reports will be sent home with students at the end of the day.
School secretaries should do the Final Attendance Rollover by 12:00 noon.
Friday, June 2: Teacher Work Day
Teachers should print a final standards report with the "official" attendance documented."
Don't forget to turn in your Teacher Performance Pay Plan logs beneath the appropriate sticky-note next to my in-basket. I will be submitting the spreadsheet of your hours to payroll next Friday afternoon.
Contracts
Here's what I know (and what I don't actually know but am willing to predict) about 2017-2018 teacher-contracts: The agenda for the board meeting on Tuesday 23 May contains an action item (a thing which can be voted on) which states: "Issuance of Contracts – Discussion and possible action regarding issuance of contracts to Classified and Certified Administrator Staff; Certified Staff and Licensed Staff. (D. Anderson)." Apparently there is new legislation from the state that requires the Board to revise our "Issuance of Contracts" policy, which, I think, is what they intend to do on Tuesday.
My best guess is that after this revision is approved, HR will get to work finalizing contracts. My next best guess is that you will see your contract at some point during the last week of school. My final guess is that you will have 15 days to sign and return it to FUSD.
FHS Baseball Field
Mr. Cullen has asked that we refrain from using the baseball field to the east of our campus on 23 May. They are planning a special event on the field that day, which will entail landing a helicopter there at some point. Thanks for keeping clear.
