What a pleasure to follow the Marshall School Marching Band (and Santa) around the school during their first-ever performance at the Canned Food Drive this morning and to see all your students' smiling faces and the serious abundance of food everyone had gathered-in for our Parenting Arizona office and St. Mary's Food Bank.

Holiday StuffPlease remember, as with all holiday-time events, akin to what we do at Halloween and Valentines, all that you do next week, no matter what, should have an easily identifiable basis in the state standards and the district's established curriculum for your grade level.
Sexual Harassment, Bullying, Intimidation, and Harassment other than Sexual Harassment
The district has revised it's official policies related to sexual harassment, bullying, intimidation, and harassment other than sexual harassment and the new policy, which applies to both students and staff members, can be downloaded via this link.
Some information about reporting child abuse and/or neglect is also provided in the aforementioned document. As mandatory reporters, all school personnel (including but not limited to administrators, teachers, nurses, counselors, paraprofessionals, and secretaries) should review these policies and procedures.
Laptops
The Heathers, Zeigler and Breedlove, will be on-site, probably in the Library, on 04 Jan to help teachers clean the crud off their current laptop so that everyone's ready to transition to a new laptop on 07-08 Jan. Tech Services folks will be here then to meet with you individually to sign you out on your new machine. There will be a means to sign up to meet with them that should be forthcoming in an email from the Technology Department soon.
Tax Credit
I always start to worry at this point in the year when our collection of tax credit donations looks so bleak. We collected about $800.00 in donations this week. That leaves us about $39,200 short of our goal and the funding we need to sustain our programs and activities next year.
I will try not to fret so much if you will commit to finding an opportunity next week to communicate personally and directly with your parents about how important tax credit dollars are to all you and your students do.
