Site Council Reports
Among the responsibilities of the Marshall School Site Council (in addition to its required oversight of the school-wide Continuous Improvement Plan and the expenditure of tax credit funds) is to both monitor and develop plans to increase student achievement at Marshall.As a part of this process, in recent years, the Council has requested that our RTI Specialists report to the council twice yearly on current AIMSWEB benchmark data. RTI will make its first report to the Site Council at our 14 October meeting and again on 10 February.
This year, in addition to reports from RTI, the Council would also like to hear reports from the other committees at Marshall School whose focus is on student achievement and well-being: Academic Improvement, Safety, Parent Involvement, Green Events, and PBS. It is the Council's intent to meet with the membership of each of these groups during the coming school year to hear from them a report on their plans and progress, especially as to how the work of each committee pertains to increasing or enhancing student achievement at Marshall.
Members of each of the aforementioned committees should plan to attend the Site Council meeting at 5:00 in the Library on the following dates:

- 13 Jan. Safety & Parent Involvement
- 10 Feb. RTI
- review benchmark testing scores
- 10 Mar. Green Events & Science Council

I have received information about the annual Coconino County Spelling Bee from the County Superintendent's office. If you are interested in coordinating this effort at Marshall, please let me know and I will pass along the information I've received to you.
