Loooong days for just about everyone around here this week: Three nights of Suzuki Violin, an evening of Kinder-registration, at least two ADE in-services, and a Fifth-grade ski trip... Dang.
This is why we have weekends.

Jen Yard
I received a letter of resignation from Jennifer Yard this week. I was kind of expecting it. I bumped into her at Bookmans last weekend and, at that time, she'd indicated to me that it was her intent to not return to Marshall next year. I am sure this was a difficult decision for her to make. She's been an important, valuable part of our team for a long, long time. I accepted her resignation with regret, but am hopeful that she will find much happiness in her future endeavors. We wish her the best.
Report Cards
Gradebook coordinator McFall sent out a helpful email yesterday regarding important dates related to the closing of gradebooks and the delivery of report cards. It is reprinted below as a public service:
Friday, March 8Calendar
- End of grading period
Friday, March 8-Monday, March 11 (Please do not "Transfer All Marks" until there is an announcement made)
- Please submit all special area grades and do the attendance rollover by 12 noon
Report cards should go home with parents during conferences. If the parent and teacher have opted out of a conference, you may send those report cards home with the students at the end of the school day on Wednesday. In the event that a parent does not show up for a scheduled conference, their report cards may be sent home on Monday, March 25th.
