Shared Discipline
One of the best things I've been able to observe recently is how closely so many of you are working together to provide supportive shared discipline for one another's students. I think the fact that we, as a faculty and staff, seem to understand so well that we're all in this together is one of the things about our school that makes it so special . One of the ways that this is demonstrated is when students are moved between rooms for a quick, quiet time-out to refocus in a new place. It's so cool that so many of you have arranged to work together in this way. I think it's good for students. And I think it's good for Marshall. Thanks!
New Duty Rotation
We begin a new three-week morning and afternoon duty rotation next week. Pagel, Fisher, and Fresquez will be on the playgrounds and hallway in the morning, and helping with dismissal procedures during the afternoon. Please remember to wear your safety-vest when you're on the playground. And thanks, as always, for your help!
On that note, when it's your turn to do these important duties and you find that you'll be out for a day, please make arrangements with someone else to cover your duty. We've found that we simply cannot count on subs to arrive in time to be apprised of where they need to be, nor can we really count on them to know what they're supposed to do. Best to keep these roles in-house as much as we can. Please plan ahead to have another staff member step in for you whenever possible.
