Hello everyone,This time of the year, it's common for us to observe that "summer flew by," that the school year "started too soon," and other similar sentiments. This year, for me, it kinda feels like we just returned from a long holiday weekend. The transition between the last school year and this one was undeniably quick, but (looking on the plus side) maybe that contributed to our super simple start yesterday. Hard to remember a first day that went as smoothly as things did on Thursday. I'm truly grateful to everyone for the all-hands-on-deck attitude that was on display in every corner of the building all day on the first day of school. My thanks to all of you for the earnest efforts you put into getting things in gear in short order for the 2017-2018 school year.

If you haven't already done so, before you go home today, please remember to:
- Put a current copy of your class roster in your red emergency folder
- Complete the emergency contact information form
- Sign up for your school committees
- Read and acknowledge the professional expectations document
- Submit your classroom management plan
- Update your Marshall School FUSD webpage
- Review our evacuation plan and post a properly oriented copy of the evacuation map near your door
- Review our lockdown procedures plan
- Review our schoolwide PBIS plan (please do so with your students ASAP, too)
- Review our core values
- Register for a DCS account
AM/PM Duty
Teachers, thanks for being mindful of our morning and afternoon duty schedule. Please, make every effort to be sure that you:A) arrive on time for your duty
B) make arrangements to trade with a cohort whenever you are absent from work on your duty day
C) remember, it is not technically okay to send your student/Praxis teacher out to do your duty for you; you must accompany them.
D) wear a safety vest so that students are able to locate you quickly
