Bike To School Day
Tuesday, May 20, is the big day, our chance to reclaim the Golden Sprocket Award, which we lost to DeMiguel two years ago.
Please plan to ride with us on Tuesday. The Marshall Route 66 "Bike Train" starts at 7:45 at 4th St near the Aquaplex. At 8:00 we will collect the riders waiting near Frys at Switzer Canyon Rd. At 8:15 we will gather everyone at Wheeler Park and ride to the school as a group from there.
Every bike parked in front of the school that morning counts toward our overall score.
Last Day Of School
We will dismiss students at 12:25 on Thursday, 29 May. We will gather as a group at Bianco's that afternoon at 3:30.
Year-end Check-out Check-list
The year-end check-list is in your mailbox. If you lose or misplace it, you may download a fresh copy online.
Report Cards
The schedule for our end of the year report cards is as follows:
- Friday, May 23rd: If you are a Special Area Teacher please have your grades entered by 12:00 noon. Malinda will do an initial attendance rollover (this will not be official until the last day). Please do not transfer grades until the announcement has been made Friday afternoon. Regular classroom teachers will have the afternoon and weekend to work on report cards. It is important to remember to indicate in the "Comments" box that "Student attendance is accurate as of May 23, 2014. Actual days membership through May 29, 2014, will be entered in student cum folder."
- Thursday, May 29th: Last Day of School: Report Cards will be sent home with students at the end of the day. Melinda will do the FINAL attendance rollover after all teachers have taken attendance.
- Friday, May 30th: Teacher Work Day: Melinda and Erin will print final report cards for teachers to place in Student Cum Folders this will indicate accurate attendance).
All-school BBQ
We'll hope that the weather is nice so we can encourage our parents to bring blankets and sit on the grassy field to eat with their children during the school barbecue. We did this last year and it seemed to work out nicely. Please remind your students that soccer will be restricted to just one game on the east-side of the field during the all-school BBQ.
Our bell schedule will be the same as always on the Monday of the BBQ, but our start-times will differ from the norm some in order to accommodate longer lines and such. There will be overlap of recesses, so please instruct your students to listen for their bell and to line up quickly when it rings. Duty aides will be outside on the playground throughout this event to watch your students.

Magnet Monday Showcase
Don't forget, we will give our third, fourth, and fifth grade students a chance to show-off all that they've learned during their second semester Magnet Monday electives at our Spring Showcase on Monday, May 19, beginning at 1:30, right after the school BBQ, in the former FMS gym.
All Marshall classes are invited to attend. Students will celebrate the activities and projects they created in their Lego League, Band, Choir, Chess, Heritage Garden, Team Mastermind, Suzuki Violin, Creative Writing, Digital Photography, Painting, Digital Media, Dance, and Mentoring electives from 1:30-2:30.
RTI Schedule
There will be no RTI classes during the week of 19 May.
