I'm going to be out all day tomorrow, Friday, 03 November, to attend the Arizona Mathematics Leaders conference in Phoenix where my little brother (he's, like, six-foot-five), Dr. Ted Coe, will be the keynote speaker, and then shuttle my mom back up to FLG so she can see Bekah's Stagebuddies show, Aristocats, on Saturday evening at Theatrikos.
That means you get to read the Blue Note a day early.
Computer Lab Upgrade
As you probably know, we're going to pool our Gallop and Dodgeball funds, to the tune of some $38,000, to upgrade our well-used but somewhat outdated computer lab soon. We've been given the greenlight by the good folks in the FUSD Technology Dept. to repurpose our current lab machines as classroom computers. We're working on a method to do this fairly and equitably, but it would be helpful if we knew ahead of time from our teachers as to your interest in acquiring a "new" computer for your classroom. Please feel free to email Steve McAllister with your interest ASAP.
Thanksgiving Luncheon
Don't forget, the annual Thanksgiving luncheon has been scheduled for this coming Monday, 06 November. Please be attentive to our somewhat modified schedule in order to accommodate our many guests, especially at the primary lunches. I will make every effort to adjust the bells accordingly, too.
