TPEC
Teachers, as you know, we're well into our annual teacher-evaluation season now. Please be attentive to the Observation Calendar linked in the sidebar and be sure to have an outline of your teaching schedule in the wire basket next to my office door no later than Friday afternoon of the week prior to your observation.
Please keep in mind that this year's rubric, while containing some of the same language as previous years, is a completely new rubric, with several new categories and a new 1-point "progressing" column. We've already discussed all of this at preconferences, but it merits repeating at this point, I think: all of these newly added components make this year's TPEC a fundamentally brand-new evaluation tool. To compare this year's score to a score you received in a previous year is akin to "comparing apples and oranges" due to the distinct differences between this year's rubric and any other.
