How many short weeks have we now endured? This one makes three in a row, I think. Gotta be some kind of record, Next week, of course, we're kinda in for more of the same as far as odd schedules and "short" days go, but least we'll have a (Magnet) Monday on Monday. Weather-wise, I think you can take that guarantee to the bank.
I hope your Connect To School team meetings go well next Wednesday. I am sorry I will not be on campus to drop in on them. I get to address the Arizona Board Of Regents at NAU about our collaboration with the Praxis program on Wednesday morning, and I have my annual skin-cancer-doctor's appointment at 12:30... that's always fun.
I will, however, be around all day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday next week; as always, if you'd like me to attend a conference for any reason, just let me know.
Book Fair & Family Night
Mr. Pinn sent you an email update on 27 Feb. regarding the upcoming Scholastic Book Fair and annual Native American Family Night, please review it prior to next week.
I believe he could still use some help at Family Night on Thursday, 12 March. I was able to attend this event last year and it really was wonderful, one of the most interesting and sincere public events we've done, in fact. So many folks (about 100 people in all) turned out to hear several well-known Native American artists talk about their craft. And the food (real mutton stew) was exceptional, too.
PTO will be helping Mr. Pinn off-set the cost of the food this year, and Mrs. Onsae and folks from Kinlani Dorm will help cook. I think it would be great if a few other members of our faculty and staff could turn out to help and show their support for this event as well. If you're able to, please get in touch with Travis ASAP to let him know of your willingness.
Lost & Found
Ms. Ronn's class has taken on the task of becoming the arrangers-and-preparers of the our terribly expansive Lost & Found collection. My thanks to them for stepping up to help us better organize this rather embarrassing massive mess of lost items!
If students wish to attempt to locate their lost stuff during the school day, they may peruse the collection before of after class in Amy's room.
Please remind your students (and their parents, too) to respect Ms. Ronn's classroom and to not leave a mess behind after they've looked.
