Hello everyone,

What a gorgeous day it is outside today!  Don't know about you, but I don't miss that wind one bit.

Can wind-poisoning be a thing?  'Cause I think I had it.

For the record, we recorded a 47mph gust on our Weatherbug weather station on Wednesday morning.

Man, that's seriously big wind!

RAK's Big Event Dinner

The Coes have purchased tickets to attend the 9th annual Random Acts Of Kindness dinner at the Doubletree Hilton on 16 May.  Gotta say: It would be wonderful if a few others of y'all joined us.  It's not cheap ($40 per) but the RAK committee at the Church Of The Epiphany has been very generous with Marshall School for many years and this event is their primary annual fundraiser.  Pretty sure you know this already: the RAK fund is one of the main ways we're able to acquire so many needful things for your classrooms, our school, and our students.

The RAK committee folks love it when Marshall folks attend their events.  Lisa and I have been to several over the years, and we always have a great time.  Please consider buying a ticket or two.

Dodgeball

We've got something like 25 sponsors signed up already, which has netted us more than $7000 to-date.  With nearly three weeks yet to go before the big day (18 May), that's a new fundraising record!

Sixteen teams have signed up to play so far.  Ideally, we should have 32 teams in all in order to make the elim-brackets work out correctly.

It's not too late to sign up online at www.marshalldodgeball.com or in person with Reasor. Thirty bucks per player, $150 per team.  And don't forget, it's for a good cause.  The Dodgeball fund is one of the primary ways we support and sustain our magnet programs at Marshall.

Please consider getting five of your friends or coworkers together to form a team.

Carnival follow-up
Turn-out for the school carnival, the Thursday evening prior to our recent four-day weekend, was down somewhat by comparison to years past.  Nevertheless, we raised over $650 (in just one hour) which was split between the 13 teachers who participated.  Each netted about $50 for their classroom supplies fund.

Please remember: the PTO commits to purchasing all the snacks and prizes for this event but returns every dime of the evening's proceeds to the teachers who participate.  It's a great deal and another example of how awesome and generous our PTO is toward Marshall School and our faculty.

Be sure to thank them when you have the chance.

RTI
We will have RTI for grades 1-3 all week next week.  Please make note of the following schedule and do your best to ensure that your students arrive on time for these important intervention classes

11:25-11:50 -- grades 2 & 3
12:25-12:50 -- grade 1

AIMSWEB
Our final benchmark testing will begin next week.  The schedule was put in your mailbox last week but it's online, too.  Please review it in order to be sure you're ready when it's your turn.
